HIDDEN CREEK!
Walking through the freezing water
feet like ice, toes like ston
slippery rocks, about to slide
after awhile i collide
slip and fall into the water
now i feel out of order.
Search around looking for stones
careful not to break a bone
the water so soft, it rolls over the rocks
like a breeze passing through.
Finally we get to the end
stiff like sticks, not easy to bend
even though we are all wet, we will never forget our wonderful adventure.
ANALYSING!
- The situation and experience the poem shows is when i fell into the water which i explained, was freezing. "Slippery rocks about to slide, after awhile i collide...." meaning after awhile on the slippery rocks i slipped and fell.
- I'm trying to communicate and tell the readers about Hidden Creek and the activity we were doing which was the CREEK WALK. I'm explaning what the creek looked like, what i herd and what i felt. "Walking through the freezing water, feet like ice, toes like stone...." "The water so soft, it rolls over the rocks, like a breeze passing through...."
- The emotions i felt were happy and calm, before falling into the freezing water, then i felt sad and angry. "The water so soft, it rolls over the rocks, like a breeze passing through...."
- I could hear the water getting pushed over the rocks and getting smashed into others, this made me feel angry inside listening to it but then i could hear calm water, lightly being pushed down stream which made me feel calm and happy. "Slip and fall into the water, now i feel out of order...." "slippery rocks about to slide, after awhile i collide...." "searching around looking for stones, careful not to break a bone...." "The water so soft, it rolls over the rocks like a breeze passing through...."
- I think my poem successfully achieves its purpose. i've said what i heard, what i saw and what i felt and put it into emotions and gestures and can really picture the Creek when i read over it.
