The Creek Walk

HIDDEN CREEK!
Walking through the freezing water
feet like ice, toes like ston
slippery rocks, about to slide
after awhile i collide
slip and fall into the water
now i feel out of order.
Search around looking for stones
careful not to break a bone
the water so soft, it rolls over the rocks
like a breeze passing through.
Finally we get to the end
stiff like sticks, not easy to bend
even though we are all wet, we will never forget our wonderful adventure.
ANALYSING!
  1. The situation and experience the poem shows is when i fell into the water which i explained, was freezing. "Slippery rocks about to slide, after awhile i collide...." meaning after awhile on the slippery rocks i slipped and fell.
  2. I'm trying to communicate and tell the readers about Hidden Creek and the activity we were doing which was the CREEK WALK. I'm explaning what the creek looked like, what i herd and what i felt. "Walking through the freezing water, feet like ice, toes like stone...." "The water so soft, it rolls over the rocks, like a breeze passing through...."
  3. The emotions i felt were happy and calm, before falling into the freezing water, then i felt sad and angry. "The water so soft, it rolls over the rocks, like a breeze passing through...."
  4. I could hear the water getting pushed over the rocks and getting smashed into others, this made me feel angry inside listening to it but then i could hear calm water, lightly being pushed down stream which made me feel calm and happy. "Slip and fall into the water, now i feel out of order...." "slippery rocks about to slide, after awhile i collide...." "searching around looking for stones, careful not to break a bone...." "The water so soft, it rolls over the rocks like a breeze passing through...."
  5. I think my poem successfully achieves its purpose. i've said what i heard, what i saw and what i felt and put it into emotions and gestures and can really picture the Creek when i read over it.

The silver donkey

The Silver Donkey was about a soldier who left the war without leave to get back to his home where his so called "brother" named John was very ill. two little girls, Marcelle and Coco were sisters and were walking through the froest when they found the soldier lying on the floor.Marcelle and Coco have been giving him their food and even Coco gave him her pillow for his own comfort. The Soldier now wants to cross a channel to get to his home which costs money which Fabrice is willing to give up for him. The children go and see him often and ask for stories of the war, but surprisingly he never told them any until later, which might say that he didnt go to war or if he did he didnt do much there.

Puppies Appear

Cameron and Mitchell were catching the bus home. It is a one hour drive home and they are always the last to get off. Every single afternoon they go fishing and take their dog, Carlos, but one day something bad happened.

On the 22nd of August, an ordinary day, Cameron and Mitchell were on the bus going home just, waiting to go fishing. When they got home, they put down their bags, grabbed their fishing gear, called the dog and left down the road to the lake where they fish.
On the way, their mum asked them to grab a few apples from the apple trees close to the lake. When they arrived at the lake, they set up their lines with squid as bait and then fished away. They let their dog wounder around, but they don’t really pay attention to him anyway. They usually caught about two fish each but this time they were lucky and caught five each.
At the lake there are huge rocks with quite a big fall into the water, which the boys jumped off. Their mum told them not to because it’s very dangerous, but of course they still do it anyway.
They grab all their stuff to get ready to go home. When they were packed up they called for Carlos, but he didn’t answer or run back to them. They were standing there for 10 minutes calling for him, but he never came back to them. They were starting to worry so they both raced home.

When they arrived home, they chucked all their stuff onto the floor, nearly snapping the fishing rods in half and yelling for their mum.
Finally when their mum hears them yelling she came running out of her room like she’s having an adrenalin rush. They told her everything that had happened and she told them to run back and check around the apple trees. As soon as she finished telling them what to do they bolted out the front door nearly tripping over their own feet. While they were looking near the lake, the mum was searching all around the yard and in the house just in case Carlos came back for a rest.
An hour had passed and they still havened found Carlos. Their mum suggested getting into the car and looking for him. They all get into the car and set off driving. They go down streets, past shops, into car parks calling for him but they still get no answer.
They were all getting tired and it was too getting late so they were going to call it a night and go home. They were just turning into their street when they saw Carlos walking down a hill into a drain.

The mum and the boys jumped out of the car and went running after him. When they caught up with Carlos they saw him sitting in the drain with six little puppies and another female dog feeding them. The mum and her two sons were shocked and also happy. The boys asked if Cameron and Mitchell could keep them because they didn’t want to split the little puppies up and also keep the mother of the puppies since she didn’t have a collar around her neck. Of course, she’d said yes because just couldn’t resist those little puppy eyes.
